"I voted against the Böge report on revising the multiannual financial framework to address additional financing needs of the ITER project. Although the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance has succeeded, in financial terms, in limiting the cuts in the budgets of other European projects to benefit ITER, almost EUR 840 million of the EUR 1.3 billion required will be financed by new contributions from the Member States. Nevertheless, this does not change the fact that nuclear energy is being developed."@en1
