Triples with object Voting against this proposed delay in bringing an EU Regulation into force would have resulted in rules being implemented that would mislead investors; voting in favour of the delay would nevertheless amount to an approval of EU legislation that UKIP regards as unnecessary for the UK (as the Common Law already provides for disclosure to investors of all information relevant to a reasonable person’s decision to invest). Accordingly UKIP abstained.
