Triples with object UKIP voted against this first reading legislative proposal. While we certainly share huge concern over the actions and independence of OLAF in its current form, we do not believe that handing over administrative control of its supervisory committee to the EU Commission is the answer. Both staff appointments and budgetary control will be managed by the Commission who are hardly neutral and we have serious concerns that this will lead to more political interference in the activities and investigations of OLAF.
