Triples with object UKIP MEPs have voted to abstain on this legislative consent procedure vote. UKIP principally do not support the EU concluding agreements with third countries. However, as this agreement is largely seeking to improve data protection safeguards and is not directly applicable to the UK, unless our sovereign government wishes to participate, it was more appropriate to abstain on this agreement.
