We know that a small increase in tax revenues in developing countries would dwarf the amount of aid they receive. Domestic resources and international finance both form important pillars of the new global development framework after 2015. It is vital that multinational companies pay their fair share of tax in developing countries. In the European Year for Development, Labour MEPs continue to show their commitment to the fight against extreme poverty and inequality. We should promote fair taxes abroad as we do at home.
