Triples with object Labour MEPs support efforts to promote and secure rule of law across the EU. It is important that the existing mechanisms in place are used effectively to promote better dialogue with Member States and the EU as this will contribute to a more streamlined approach to upholding fundamental rights and rule of law. In addition, Labour MEPs support the role of the European Parliament in maintaining the debate on rule of law and fundamental rights across the EU. Labour MEPs abstained from the vote, as we believe that efforts should focus on improving existing mechanisms.
