The motion comes ahead of the 17th meeting of the parties to the Convention on International Trade in in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), of which the EU is now a member (as of 2015), and it calls for further action in cracking down on illegal trafficking of wildlife, which is still widespread.
