Triples with object I abstained on this report. The aim of this report was to lay down the maximum permitted levels of radioactive contamination of food and feed following a nuclear accident. However, I believe that the measures included are insufficient to provide adequate protection and the legislation proposes maximum levels which do not correspond to many experts’ recommendations.
