"I voted in favour of this report because this regulation consolidates revisions to the original 1995 Regulation, it simplifies and clarifies the requirements for the compilation of harmonised indices of consumer prices (HICP) and takes account of new technical aspects of data collection. It is important that we update legislation regularly and make it fit for purpose; this is exactly what this regulation does."@en1
