"I think we have at least been able to talk to each other sensibly about these extremely difficult issues over the past. As a political group, we have problems with the readmission agreements, particularly when they are linked to questions of trade, because the readmission agreement is about individuals – human beings – and how we actually treat them. In terms of an integrated approach, I think you are right.
