"Madam President, I wish to thank Mr Vigenin for his question. Yes, of course, they are taxpayers, but what we are talking about here is the fact that, while they were paying tax, there was a British person who was unemployed because that job was taken, so that was a strain on our social security system. The United Kingdom is, simply, a small island. It is not about race, it is about space: we simply do not have enough jobs. I would like to see a points system in the United Kingdom, whereby we have people from outside the European Union and people from within the European Union as well, so that we can fill the vacancies we actually have. There is no point bringing workers in from around the European Union when we simply do not have the jobs."@en1
