"I do not think that you listened to the whole of my speech. The point that I made was that the lobbying power in Brussels, which is actively encourage, actively interacted with by the European Union, has proved to be a drag anchor. That was the critical point that I was making.
I was also making the point that, across the world, a lighter touch in terms of regulation, one that does not involve trilogue: Council, Commission to the Parliament and then back all the way round things, would not have achieved where we are. The point I am making, therefore, is let us just put together three components: stop the lobbying, stop the drag anchor and stop the trilogue."@en1
