"Mr President, under Rule 181a and Rule 49 in relation to the Committee on Legal Affairs, I would like to raise the very urgent case of Alexander Adamescu, a German citizen living in London, who is subject to a political European arrest warrant issued by the Romanian Government and the Romanian police. Mr Adamescu’s father had already been arrested on the same charge and he died in prison. His wife has had an attempt to remove her illegally from the United Kingdom by gangsters, and what we have to face is the European arrest warrant being used here by a country as a member of the European Union, for political purposes. I urge you to raise this at the highest level with the President and the committee under these rules."@en1
