lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, further development of the aviation sector provides us with a renewed opportunity to boost Europe’s economy, strengthen our industrial base and reinforce our position of global leadership in this market. I would support this motion for a resolution as a means to harness the European aviation model, thus adapting and responding to the specific obstacles and demands of this sector. Greater regulation in the areas of efficiency, infrastructure and investment are, however, crucial if we are to realise the true potential of a consolidated European aviation strategy. I would like to conclude by thanking the Commission for its efforts to ensure that Norwegian Air can get a licence to fly from the United States to Cork and, hopefully, in due course, Shannon, in my country. It would reduce the price of flying transatlantic and give greater choice, and especially at regional airports it will be most welcome, so hopefully it will happen as soon as possible in Cork, in Shannon and maybe other airports as well."@en1
