lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report, which is a summary of the activities of the Committee on Petitions from last year. The report takes a progressive approach, criticising austerity measures and the rise of racism and xenophobia in the EU. It also calls for a participative democracy at EU level and is very critical towards the European Commission. It calls for a more involvement in the treatment of petitions, or the maximum transparency when it comes to the open infringement procedures started by the Commission against a Member State. For these reasons I supported."@en1
