lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report which called for a loophole in the Paediatric Medicines Regulation to be closed. Pharmaceutical companies are meant to investigate whether any drug they bring to market for adults can be used for children (given the rarity of child cancers) but there is a waiver within the legislation which allows these companies not to do so if the diseases are not found in children. But often diseases in children can have the same biological mode of action as these adult diseases so should be investigated. For these reasons I supported the resolution and hope that the Commission will act swiftly."@en1
