lpv:spoken text	"I rejected this report which, like the majority of reports coming from the Committee on Foreign Affairs this year, focused on security issues. It calls for strengthening the EU’s security and defence capabilities and stepping up defence cooperation. To this end Member States should provide additional funding. Moreover, the report supports efforts to establish an integrated defence market and the consolidation of the European defence industry. The report advocates stronger cooperation with NATO and says that the strategic partnership with the US and Canada should be transformed into an effective foreign affairs instrument as a matter of priority. This report offered nothing constructive and is basically just another push for the EU to become a hard military power. For these reasons, I rejected the report."@en1
