| lpv:spoken text | "UKIP voted against this binding budgetary report. This proposal was to give EUR 856,800 (60 % of the total) for 250 workers made redundant in Spain, from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund. The 250 workers made redundant worked in the manufacturing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers sector. The event giving rise to these redundancies was primarily the bankruptcy and closure of Bosal S.A, a company operating in Spain. The money will be used for things like information sessions, occupational guidance, job placement, training, commuting expenses, change of residence expenses, internet expenses, hiring benefit, start-up allowance, participation allowance etc. UKIP opposes the EU using British taxpayer’s cash as dole money for poor economic decisions in other countries."@en1 |
