"This accompanying resolution envisages suspending the textiles protocol if commitments on forced labour are not lived up to, calls for continued monitoring of the situation, encourages Uzbekistan to ratify and implement all 27 GSP+ conventions, as well as calling on the Commission to propose legislation for an effective traceability mechanism in the garment sector. It is an important safeguard for labour rights in Uzbekistan. I therefore supported this resolution accompanying the consent procedure to the textiles protocol."@en1
