"I voted in favour of the report which highlights the need to increase the participation of women in decision-making. I believe proper consideration must be given to the importance of empowering women in conflict resolution and peace-building in Ukraine. Women must take the lead in any post-conflict reconciliation mechanism that is set up. Women and girls must be involved in building vibrant democratic civil societies across Eastern Partnership countries, especially women who are leaders and role models in the social, cultural and political spheres. Programmes like Erasmus+ and Creative Europe can be key cultural diplomacy tools fostering inter-cultural dialogue and civic engagement, bringing women and girls together for the benefit of their societies."@en1
