"Mr President, the United Kingdom is a place where, thankfully, cultural and new technology businesses are able to thrive and grow. We see it all over the place, in Manchester, in London, and across our country. We have people at home with their own small businesses, and through that we have created jobs, we have created wealth, and we have created a spirit of business within those small businesses.
But here in the European Union, for the past several years, we have seen new rules being created every day. And today, another report that either picks or chooses the winners that it wants to survive, or creates problems for those that are already in business. Many of those small businesses at home suffered the inequity of having to try and find ways of paying VAT in every country that we had. All I have said simply, time and time again to this place is: stop putting your hands into the problems of business; stay away. If you do, it will grow. Remove the regulations and allow small businesses to thrive in culture and in new technology."@en1
