The PRIIPs proposal introduces a series of measures aimed at enhancing investor protection and rebuilding consumer trust in the financial services industry by increasing transparency in the retail investment market. This is a technical proposal to postpone the date of implementation to 1 January 2018 in order to allow a level 2 legislation on the key information document to be adopted with stronger protection clauses for investors."@en1
