"I voted in favour of the one amendment to this report, which called to extend Commissioners’ post-office employment restrictions to a period of at least three years without making any changes to the transitional rules. I am happy that this amendment was passed so that unethical appointments, such as that of Former President of the Commission José Manuel Barroso to Goldman Sachs, do not happen in the future without a proper cooling-off period."@en1
