lpv:spoken text	"I support the rapporteur in his endeavour to raise accountability and transparency as regards Commissioners’ activities and potential conflicts of interests. To regain the trust of European citizens, notably in the EU institutions, it is essential to increase transparency and accountability in particular of public figures such as Commissioners. It is not acceptable if Commissioners are hiding personal or family members’ interests in taking specific decisions at EU executive level. Therefore, a thorough analysis on the basis of sufficient data to be requested from the Commissioner in question need to be undertaken on a case-by-case basis, not only before a Commissioner takes up his duties but also during and to a certain extent also after his mandate."@en1
