"Mr President, I would like to raise a point of order under Rule 186. In the debate this morning on combating racism, xenophobia, homophobia and the rest of it, I would like to raise a complaint against Vice-President Paşcu, a Socialist, who took a personal position in applauding Catherine Bearder this morning. Under Rule 22(3), ‘The President may speak in a debate only to sum up or to call speakers to order. Should he wish to take part in a debate, he shall vacate the chair and shall not reoccupy it until the debate is over.’ He reprimanded me for facts in my speech, whereas Ms Bearder quoted subjective opinions, not facts, inciting racial hatred and hatred against others. He should step down as a Vice-President as he cannot be trusted to provide impartiality."@en1
