I join the call for all political prisoners in the country to be immediately released, and for legitimate political opposition and civil society to be allowed to operate freely. I echo my colleagues’ concerns about the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant in Ostrovets, and support international action to address the problem. I also welcome the ongoing work of Nuclear Transparency Watch, which provides an important platform for civil society scrutiny of the nuclear industry."@en1
