lpv:spoken text	"I supported this motion. I am deeply concerned by the shortcomings observed by independent international observers during the 2015 presidential and 2016 parliamentary elections. The Belarusian authorities should ensure, in all circumstances, respect for democratic principles, human rights and fundamental freedoms, in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the international and regional human rights instruments ratified by Belarus. This is essential for the security of the region and it should be imperative upon the Union to advance the cause of human rights, democracy and rule of law throughout the world, most of all in our immediate region."@en1
