lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this resolution, which condemns the heavy aerial bombardment by the Assad regime and Russia on Aleppo. The heinous attacks against civilian infrastructures, schools and hospitals cannot be tolerated. The EU needs to step up efforts to ensure accountability for crimes and call out Russia and China for blocking progress on accountability in the Security Council by vetoing a mandate for the ICC to investigate the crimes committed in Syria. If the UNSC is blocked we need to push proactively for alternative ways to break the deadlock. We need to voice support for the International Commission of Inquiry on Syria to conduct a special inquiry into the attacks against civilians and hospitals in Aleppo. We should also take the lead in the UN General Assembly to call for the creation of the post of special Syria War Crimes Rapporteur and push for the establishment of a Syrian war crimes court. Atrocities cannot go unpunished."@en1
