I went on to talk about the tampon tax and the fact that women across Europe are facing additional tax on necessary sanitary products, which obviously men do not have to use. Some countries have reduced the rates, but other countries still charge what are actually luxury rates of VAT on tampons and sanitary towels, and on moon cups as well. So what we are suggesting – and this is where you can sign our written declaration and share it with your friends – is that all countries zero-rate those products which women use."@en1
