lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, EU Common Security and Defence is further evidence of the unrelenting push for the militarisation of Europe at all levels, from coordinated security and defence policy through to an EU army. At its core, the CSDP report militaristically demands more investment in defence and defence research for Member States to reach the NATO capacity target of a minimum of 2% of GDP. It demands more money from the EU general budget to be allocated to defence spending and demands a strong munitions and defence industry in Europe. This report is symptomatic of the ever—growing militarisation of the European Union that is driven by the unelected Commissioners and larger Member States. The use of the result of the Brexit referendum to push ahead with these militaristic aims is utterly unscrupulous, as is the undermining of the neutrality of Member States such as Ireland. Instead of focusing on the militarisation of the EU, can we not redouble our efforts to tackle poverty, hunger, land rights, climate change, citizen participation and economic inequalities?"@en1
