lpv:spoken text	"I voted against this initiative given that Parliament’s legal service has already given assurances concerning the compatibility of the investment chapter with the Treaties in March 2016. The Council moreover decided to exclude parts of the investment protection provisions and of ICS from the provisional application of CETA. The Canadian Government, the Commission and the Council have taken explicit commitments to continue the technical work on the establishment of the ICS-system in the direction that we as social democrats put forward. We all share the objective of having a sound public system in place which corresponds to the criteria we have established in our position paper from February 2015. We have therefore an interest not to stop the process now with a referral to the European Court of Justice."@en1
