lpv:spoken text	"As the largest development aid provider in the world, the EU is committed to improving the effectiveness of development aid to make sure aid spending is as effective as possible and reaches its intended targets. This report sets out the steps the EU should take to meet the Busan commitments on aid effectiveness and to reach its development targets, whilst attempting to ‘do more, with less’. The report forms a good outline on how the EU can maximise the effectiveness of its development aid and meet its development targets agreed in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to make development policy truly effective, we must make sure we have policy coherence for development, and make sure we apply our values consistently to trade, economic and foreign policy. We must also properly recognise the role of culture as a powerful catalyst for development. This is an example of why EU action on this is so important."@en1
