lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report, which explores how the CAP rules and budgetary spending can be optimised in order to enable this policy to play a bigger role in promotion of employment in the rural areas. It discusses the reasons driving rural depopulation and economic stagnation in the European countryside, induced partly by negative impacts of the intensification of farming and globalisation. An important positive contribution presented by this report focuses on highlighting the role of CAP’s rural development measures, local initiatives and approaches (including LEADER) and measures to strengthen rural-urban links. The report also explores solutions to enhance rural entrepreneurship and diversification of economic activity away from farming, including through innovation, improvements in rural infrastructure and public services, etc. Moreover, the report calls for action in favour of integrating rural communities more strongly thanks to tools addressed specifically to migrant workers and women in order to improve their often more disadvantaged situation in rural economies."@en1
