I supported it as this resolution is explicit in opposing the multilateral proliferation of nuclear weapons, and clear in supporting disarmament. The successful vote on this joint resolution took place just before the UN General Assembly’s First Committee voted in favour of beginning negotiations for a treaty on the prohibition of nuclear weapons. This resolution gives support to that process."@en1
