"Go raibh maith agat, a Uachtaráin. Bhíos i bhfabhar dar ndóigh na tuarascála seo agus glacadh leis gan vóta agus mo ghrúpa agus mé féin ina bhfabhar. The recommendation, which aims to introduce standardised accessibility features on websites of public sector bodies, and the proposed policy, would render said platforms more accessible, enhance monitoring and reporting standards and identify the dissemination of information as a priority. I note the exclusion of websites held by public service broadcasters and their subsidiaries, thus essentially distinguishing the web accessibility directive from the Audiovisual Media Services Directive. I believe that these recommendations will enhance the application of current frameworks in this domain whilst providing the foundation for future policy. This again is another step in the right direction as we try and move to a digital single market, which would add billions to the European economy as part of the policy of this Commission."@en1
