"Madam President, this is the week when people of Wallonia said no to tyranny by rejecting CETA. Also – and contrary to what Ms Vautmans said in relation to all countries supporting it – in the last week Ireland’s upper House, the Seanad, rejected this deal. Let’s be clear though: the EU hierarchy does not care what the general public thinks. I hear talk of breaking the deadlocks, but translated, that means: we will break your country unless you do what you’re told. I know the reality of that – I’m from Ireland. We were bullied for voting for Nice and then again with Lisbon. Their argument is that if you vote no, then you don’t understand; if you vote yes, then you’re enlightened. The reality is this: the EU and Canada already have judicial systems that offer rights and protections equally to all its citizens, companies and corporations, with appeals possible all the way to the Supreme Court or the European Court of Justice. Mr Pittella talks about peddling; here we have another type of peddling: the peddling of lies. ISDS and ICS are one of the same; if you change the label on a tin of little cat food to one for caviar, it does not change its contents. It still has the same rubbish within."@en1
