lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, this budget rightly prioritises jobs, growth, migration and security, and it will also give valuable help to farmers struggling with the effects of the Russian trade ban. That is both timely, appropriate and welcome. But I voice two concerns. First, while I support this additional expenditure, we do need greater clarity in some of the objectives of some of the programmes, and we certainly need greater reassurance of value for money. Second, we are answerable to the European taxpayers for the way we spend their money. So, rather than using this additional expenditure as a reason to demand a bigger budget, we ought to be maximising the use of flexibility and redeployment."@en1
