"Today I voted for a European Parliament resolution on how to make fisheries controls in Europe uniform. Among other things, the report advocates harmonising the scope of controls, increasing training opportunities for inspectors and fishermen, standardising sanctions, and investing more in technologies and the EFCA budget. It will create a level playing field for fishermen across the EU and improve respect for controls."@en1
