"I condemn and deplore the recent attacks on civilians and humanitarian convoys in Syria, in particular the devastating bombardment of Aleppo. I have been working on the Syria case since 2013, prior to my election, when I was an Oxfam volunteer. The international community must do more to bring all parties to the conflict around the table, in order for ceasefires to be agreed and for more humanitarian aid to be provided to those suffering in the war."@en1
