"Mr President, I love trains, I love transport and I want to continue to make it really easy for young people to travel by train across Europe, across the EU and outside the EU, and I want to make sure it is cheap. But do we have to make it free? When I talk to young people, they ask me whether they are studying the right course to get a job; whether they will ever get a job; if when they get a job they will have a home; how they can go and study abroad; what they should do with their university fees. And then they might get onto human rights, they might talk about war, they might talk about the migration crisis and they might talk about climate change and equality, but no young person has ever asked me for a free railway ticket. So let’s keep it cheap, let’s keep it affordable, but let’s encourage young people to do what I did, which is to get a part—time job and buy a cheap ticket and go and enjoy travelling across Europe with the money they have had from their own opportunities, from their own earnings."@en1
