"I have voted in favour of this report as my party has at every level of government long championed the rights of those living with disabilities. In the UK, there are an estimated 11 million people with a limiting long-term illness, impairment or disability, the most commonly reported impairments being those that affect mobility, lifting or carrying. Mainstream society often excludes people with disabilities, who are effectively denied their human rights as a result. I and Labour MEPs are committed to defending, promoting and reinforcing the human rights of all persons with disabilities."@en1
