"In the past few weeks I must have spoken to thousands of voters in the UK. Those who voted remain voted for economic and political stability and recognise that there have been many mutual benefits from working together. Those who voted leave did so because they felt the EU was out of touch and undemocratic; they were concerned about the five presidents making decisions that they felt they were not in contact with. They saw the unemployment on the edges of the euro and were scared. They were fearful about migration. They won, and we need to listen to them. I hope we can have a mutually beneficial agreement for the long term, but we need to take time. So please, will you be calm. Take time."@en1
