lpv:spoken text	"I abstained on this report which is concerned with ongoing violence in eastern Congo and calls for action to help end it. Congo has known armed conflicts for a very long time, mostly due to it being a mineral rich country. Although happy with the initiative by the European Parliament to call for peace, the Joint Motion for a Resolution was not critical enough on the interference of certain countries and companies in destabilising the country. My own European political group had tabled an alternative resolution which was much more critical, however as the majority of MEPs voted in favour of the Joint Resolution, I did not have an opportunity to endorse this alternative one."@en1
