lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of the above resolution. The ecosystem-based approach to fisheries management which is put forward in this resolution is essential to the maintenance of European marine wildlife systems. The resolution sets the fishing mortality target so that it takes into account the most recent scientific advice and should continue to do so, on a progressive, incremental basis, until 2020 at the latest. Moreover, the resolution provides for the temporary cessation of fishing activities in the region to allow for the replenishment of fish stock levels. I believe that maintaining fish stocks above levels capable of producing maximum sustainable yield is essential to the economic and environmental development of the EU and its regions."@en1
