lpv:spoken text	"I supported the appointments put forward by all political groups to the new Committee of Inquiry into the alleged maladministration in the application of Union law in relation to money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion. It is vital that elected representatives have an opportunity to evaluate the tax practices of large multinationals and wealthy individuals to see if they paid the appropriate amount of tax on their earnings within the EU. It is also of vital importance to the integrity of the EU institutions that an investigation into the application of European Union law by the Commission and Member States is undertaken. Citizens need assurances that tax administrations correctly apply tax levels. Likewise, if tax rates are not being correctly applied this needs to be reviewed as tax not collected by administrations is funding lost for vital public services in local communities."@en1
