"I voted against this report on the Information Technology Agreement, which is a trade agreement focusing only on technology products. The expansion would see more technology products benefit from the elimination of tariff barriers. I voted against, because this agreement is mostly profitable for large companies. The expansion will also make it more difficult for developing countries not to join, pushing dependency on products from these multinationals. These countries will lost out on a lot of income from duties they normally get from these exports. For this unequal benefit, I voted against."@en1
