The demographic challenges of tomorrow will make it necessary to adapt how we both produce and dispose of food – and in order to do this we must embrace technological innovation. By using technology we can help to reduce fertiliser use, better soil and water management, ICT-based management and real-time data monitoring. Along with S&D colleagues, I stress the importance of small and family farming to the agriculture sector, and that innovation must also be available to them through the European Innovation Partnership. I voted in favour of this report."@en1
