"Well, that is an interesting proposition, sir, but I do not think that we will be abolishing income tax in the UK. What I think we will do, which this place does not do and the rest of Europe does not do, is to minimise tax as much as possible so as to allow citizens to keep as much as possible of their hard-earned money in their pockets. That, I think, is a right. It is a human right to keep most of what you earn in your own pocket. Obviously, you have to help the less fortunate and those who are sick, but you should be allowed to keep the fruits of your own labour. That is a human right."@en1
