"My colleagues in the Labour Party and I voted in favour of this report because it realises that despite the removal of tariff barriers (NTBs) since 1 July 1968, the free movement of goods and services has continued to be hampered by NTBs such as unjustified national technical rules and regulatory and non-regulatory requirements governing products. It also highlights that the strengthening of the single market requires urgent action at both the EU and Member State levels to address such NTBs."@en1
