We were able to achieve a clear recognition of the full respect of the right to regulate in the interest of the public and have the report contain explicit mentions of the importance of public services and the fact that related legislation does not constitute a non-tariff barrier. The main challenge of this report was to get a definition for non-tariff barriers that all sides could agree on, and I am happy that we have gone some way in achieving that."@en1
